Transport Guidelines and
Information
Every dog or puppy that boards our transport
MUST have an interstate Health Certificate.
All health certificates, regardless of each state's
requirements, are only good for 10 days, as required by the USDA
These certificates must be acquired
from a licensed veterinarian no more than 10 days prior to the
scheduled transport date. We appreciate your assistance in this
matter.
While nearly all animals transported with our rescue
transport are required to have a health certificate, you should
understand the following:
A health certificate only states that an animal is
free from infectious diseases and current on all vaccinations.
It does not indicate that the animal itself is in good health.
Health Certificates are not a letter from a vet saying your dogs
is healthy. They are multiple carbon copies from a vet filed out
in full. A USDA document.
If, during the transport, a dog becomes ill, the rescue will be notified
immediately. If the dog requires veterinarian care, the sending
rescue will be responsible for the veterinary bills
Every dog or puppy needs a copy of their
medical records, along with the health certificate, to accompany
the animal on transport and to be up to date on shots, which
include:
1.Bordetella (kennel cough vaccine) During the
change of seasons it is especially important to have this
vaccine give at least 7 days prior to transport.
2. Negative fecal for worms, coccidia and
giardia
3. Heartworm negative
4. 7 and 1
Dogs and puppies that are fixed the day before
transport can not be transported. They must have been fixed 6
days before the day they are to be transported.
Dogs and puppies must have some kind of ID on
it to where the person who shipped it knows who they are, we
know who they are, and the person, rescue or whoever picks it up
knows who it is. This must be readable.
We can not transport pregnant dogs after week
6
Puppies must be 8 weeks and have 2 sets of
shots
We are only accepting 5 dogs or puppies
at a time to pick up. This leaves us with enough time to care
for everyone on the trip. So if you are needing help with
transport you must call and schedule ahead with us due to the
fact we also have pickups ourselves.
The stuff that we require above are all
preventive care that will we hope keep your dog or puppy safe
from any sickness. Although puppies and even some dogs can
acquire kennel cough , coccidia due to the stress of being
transported.
Rates are $150.00 per dog
X Large Kennel $175.00
We also do pick up birds as well as other
small animals. They must be in they're own cage for transport.
Birds are $50.00
Anything smaller call for info......
If for some reason you need 5 picked up we can
schedule that as well Feel free to call me I would be happy to
try and answer any questions you have.
